Study confirms top performance of faux in cold environment

According to a 2017 study conducted by Concept III and the Hohenstein Institute, faux fur performs better with regard to wind retention and icicle formation.

Concept III has been an expert in the textile and apparel sector for more than 3 decades. They collaborated with the experts of the Hohenstein Institute using "real" fur and synthetic fur (eco fur) comparing their capacities for icicle formation and wind retention.

These are words of relief for responsible consumers and apparel brands.

In order for the apparel brands (especially outdoor brands) to make educated choices, such independent studies are extremely important.

In 2016 another study from the french laboratory Emitech led us to a similar conclusion as mentioned here.
