Indeed, faux fur the ultimate life-friendly type of fur, is a feel-good fabric adored by the eco-minded fashionistas.

According to the latest market research report from Technavio, the global faux fur market is expected to post a CAGR of over 19% during the period 2019-2023. Global artificial fur market size will grow by USD 129.21 million during 2019-2023.

“Luxury brand are creating ethical, faux fur alternatives, owing to the technological advances in fabrications. Some of the major fashion retailers and apparel stores are taking steps to reduce the use of animal fur.”

Those figures are interesting because not only they stress that faux fur is a dynamic sector but also underline that faux fur is a niche market and not a mass production.

A notable fact highlighted in the report is the expected rise in the use of recyclable material which can have a positive impact on our environment in reducing the waste being left in landfills for instance. As a result, this sustainable trend will improve the green credential of faux fur - which is already better than other type of fibers including animal-based fibers.
